The psychological health of IT specialists (and probably in many other fields) is a kind of elephant 🐘 in the room, which everyone feels, sees, hears, and smells, but speaks only when it f*cks up, but in most cases, it is ignored.

Therefore, I don’t want psychological health issues to become relevant only when someone is harming themselves and others or when the results of the company begin to suffer.

On the contrary, I want us to be able to talk about the health of ourselves, colleagues, and business partners in a similar way to financial results, development plans, or innovations - concretely, openly, and based on facts. šŸ“ˆ

Yes, it is often a shame to admit that you are down. Yes, it is often embarrassing to ask why someone else is unwell. Yes, it is often embarrassing to admit that your organization is not doing well.

But any intervention starts with a simple thing: naming. Only after naming can you start talking openly, and when you start talking openly, you can solve the problems.

So, I'm very happy with the topic of this podcast and the interviewees who, despite a few jokes out of time (they're programmers, I'm sorry 😊), asked good questions, listened carefully, and openly shared their experiences and thoughts.
