If you work in a new field, be careful.
Just because you feel more productive or confident in new tasks over time doesn't mean you're getting better at them.

A new study shows that we make decisions faster, regardless of how well we perform new tasks (e.g., how many mistakes we make) [1]. It's just that self-confidence grows over time.
Therefore, it’s not surprising when an experienced specialist is not necessarily a qualified one. Likely, they believe more in their competence, but this does not mean that they perform well, reflect on their experience, and are constantly learning.
On the contrary, if you are just starting in a new field and your self-confidence is to the roof, this does not mean that you can relax and ignore the quality of your work.
The alternative? Don't trust blindly in your inner voice, but carefully monitor the feedback from the environment: from relatives and colleagues to customers and society.
