What are the qualities of empowering leaders?

Writer: Povilas GodliauskasPovilas Godliauskas

Clients often come to me with career issues and eventually start talking about relationships, health, etc.

Why? Because all areas of life are overlapping or closely related. ☯️ If you had a fight with your husband in the morning, it is likely that you will come to work irritated. If you're stressed at work, chances are you'll come home just as stressed.

And vice versa! It turns out that when managers are empowering (e.g., trusting their employees, asking constructive questions), they grow not only professionally but also personally, which in turn increases work engagement [1]. 📈

Does this mean that managers are partially responsible for the psychological health of their employees? The question is not rhetorical because I do not have an unambiguous answer.
